A kind, humble and generous human being, she was an eminent social reformist, speaker and orator, heavily vested in female empowerment and possessing a soft corner for the physically challenged as well as mentally handicapped. During her days as the first lady of Tripura she worked tirelessly towards its social and economic development, adopting various villages under her wing, providing them with water and electricity, bringing joy in the lives of their inhabitants. Throughout her life she upheld the aphorism ‘Ek Khilona, Ek Muskan’ and personally designed a toy that was affordable enough to be given to every poor child to play with.
